The original house had no power or water, but with generous donors in the U.S., we renovated many features
Everything at the house is now functioning well after the move, including our new water tower with filtered water. We just had the 12th nationwide shut down of electricity this year in Nigeria (fun), but it has been fixed and we are thankful for the electricity when it does come on.
We have 12 solar panels that power our operation here in Kano: we pulled them off the old house to keep working on the new roof here. We honestly could not function without them to power the house and center because we lose power so often in Kano! Crazy! Our water system is up and working well, so we are very thankful for running water throughout the majority of the house. Â
